Almost There!

I honestly did not mean for this blog to go this long without any updates!! How terrible of me. Well, I am here now and thought I would update since July. I am now 38 weeks and at the end of the pregnancy. I have been going to the doctor every week for check-ups and ultrasounds. I think we have had a total of 10+ ultrasounds! We have an offical name-- Layla Ruby Lee Ellison. Layla because it is pretty and the only name Dustin and I could agree on, Ruby after my Grandmother and it is also Dustin's mother's favorite stone, Lee for my mother, it is her maiden name, and also Dustin's Dad's middle name! She will have two middle names like her Daddy. Dustin is doing well and is very excited to meet Layla. He has been amazing throughout this journey! Breakfast in bed every morning, as well as dinner cooked every night! His patience is also something I am so very grateful for. He mostly just laughs at me when I become aggravated (which is 90% of the time), especially these last few weeks!
Things are going well, I am just tired and very very easily agitated. I have two more days of clinicals for NA-II school and then the final exam! I hope Layla will wait to make her debut until her due date! :) Fingers-crossed. I have also started a new job at the hospital as a NA-I. I am in my 4th week of orientation and loving every minute of it!! I especially love the Emergency Department. Hopefully, I will be reaccepted into nursing school and will be able to work as an RN in emergency medicine. 
Well, I am going to try now to figure out how to post these ultrasound pictures and pictures from the baby shower that went amazing. I can't think my cousin Becky and best friend Hayley enough for throwing such an awesome shower! I am also thankful for receiving so many wonderful gifts from family and friends. Layla will not go without! :)

The Beginning......

I have decided to start a blog in order to document my journey through this pregnancy and into our new life as parents. I guess I should start at the beginning.........

Dustin and I have been together for 8 years now. We have been engaged for one and found out in April 2011 that we are expecting our little one. Oh yes! It was a surprise, but a good one. I am now 5 months and have only recently started showing. We found out on 7/12/11 that it is a little girl!! I will post the ultrasound pics soon!

So here begins our journey..........through the cravings, the agitation, the sleepless nights, the constant feeling of having to use the bathroom, and the weight gain, will come this little miracle that we are considering naming Layla Ruby Ellison.
